For nine hours 70 teams bounced in a commercial sized bounce house on the WIU campus quad.
On Wednesday, October 19, WIU marketing students challenged the campus and Macomb communities to “Bounce for Breast Cancer Awareness.”
Teams of four bounced to raise awareness and money toward Linda’s Fund, which offers financial support to women in west central Illinois who are diagnosed with breast cancer and are using the services of the McDonough District Hospital.
Linda’s Fund was created in memory of Linda Bainter in October 2008 by her son, Vice President of Advancement and Public Services Brad Bainter and his wife WIU Alumni Program Director Amy Spelman. The event provided games, food, and music by WIU’s student-run radio station 88.3 The Dog.
