The WIU department of Art is hosting its monthly “First Wednesday” event. Festivities take place next week on Nov. 2nd from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. This is an opportunity for students, faculty, and members of the community to come create some art. This event is for people of all ages and they emphasize the fact that it’s free to the public. Each month, they like to incorporate different types of art featuring direction from faculty and members of the art fraternity “Kappa Pi”.
There will be art stations available in both Garwood Hall and the Heating Plant Annex. They will be open to people wanting to produce outstanding art in a creative atmosphere. Snacks and refreshments will also be available but served on a first come first served basis. They hold this event on the first Wednesday of every month from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m.
If you have any questions, please contact Charles Wright, department chair, at CA-Wright@wiu.edu.
