Halloween Events Around Macomb and McDonough County

Happy Halloween

MACOMB, IL – It’s that time of year when the ghosts and goblins come out, and we all eat more candy!  Here’s some info on how to do Halloween around McDonough County.

Trick-or-Treat Hours in Macomb and Bushnell:

  • October 30th, 6-8 pm
  • October 31st, 6-8 pm
  • Be sure to have the porch light on if you want trick-or-treaters!

Safe Trick-or-Treat on WIU Campus:

  • Sunday, October 30th: 6-8 pm
  • Children ages 2-12
  • Bayliss-Henninger, Tanner, Corbin-Olson, Thompson, and Lincoln-Washington-Grote residence halls
  • Guides at each hall will show where activities are
  • Children can play games and trick-or-treat in a safe environment
  • Must be accompanied by parent or guardian

“Haunted House of Payne” in Good Hope, IL:

  • Free Haunted House
  • October 29th, 6-9 pm
  • October 30th, 6-9 pm
  • October 31st, 6-9 pm
  • Please bring a non-perishable food item to donate to Loaves and Fishes

“Haunted Housing” on WIU Campus:

  • Thompson Hall, top floor
  • Children’s Night: October 30th, 6-8 pm
  • Scarier Night: October 28th & 29th, 7-11 pm
  • Admission: $5

  • October 30th
  • Family Friendly Trail: 6-7 pm
  • Scary Trail: 8-10 pm
  • Admission: $5
