Cubs Fan Flies the “W” Over Vandalized Sign

MACOMB, IL – Devin Zeugner got very excited when the Chicago Cubs secured the victory that advanced them into the World Series.

Fly the WHe decided to fly the “W” where everyone would see it — on a sign belonging to Western Illinois University.  The sign had been vandalized earlier in the week when an unknown individual stole  the letter “W.”

He hung the letter on the evening of Monday, October 24.  He posted the photos to Facebook, saying, “In light of the Cubs victory, I decided to help out. Go Cubs! #flythew #gocubsgo #cubs

Zeugner is a WIU student studying Pre-Business Management with a minor in Law Enforcement and Justice Administration.
