Has the weather seemed rather dry lately? You’re not hallucinating and you’re not the only one. Abnormally dry conditions have now been reported across Western Illinois and extending into parts of Central Illinois and even Northeastern Illinois. None of these areas are in drought categories yet. This just unusually dry conditions thanks to no rain and very hot weather. Despite this, this is now a time where water conservation should be advised. The forecasts for the future look to be rather dry despite the cooler weather and rain chances early next week. The drought monitor could worsen before getting better. Make sure to keep that in mind this summer.
