Due to the heat wave that has moved in across the region, two of Western Illinois University’s residence halls have been designated as cooling centers for area residents.
Corbin and Olson commons will be open through 8 p.m. today (June 10) and from 8 a.m.-8 p.m. Saturday-Sunday, June 11-12 for anyone needing a place to cool off. Drinking water refilling stations are available in each residence hall.
Sodexo will also have food available for purchase for the following hours:
Friday, June 10—Dinner: 4-6:30 p.m.
Saturday, June 11—Breakfast: 7-9 a.m., lunch: 11 a.m.-1 p.m. and closed for dinner
Sunday, June 12—Closed for breakfast and lunch, dinner: 4:45-5:30 p.m.
