The Western Illinois University Alumni House is currently missing the ‘W’ in the ‘Western’ sign in the front of the building. The letter was removed at some point during the early morning hours of Saturday, May 7th.
The WIU Foundation is offering a $500 reward for anyone that comes forward with information that leads to the arrest of the individual(s) responsible for vandalizing the sign.
This is the second time this semester that the sign was vandalized.
The first letter ‘E’ was damaged, in an attempt to remove it, in March.
