Students enrolled at Western Illinois University will be starting off the new semester with a nice update from Microsoft. Microsoft released Office 2016 recently and it is now available for download with Office 365. According to WIU’s Office 365 webpage, Microsoft Office is available to any student currently enrolled at Western Illinois University. Once the student graduates from the school, their access to Microsoft Office through WIU will end. Students who currently have access can download the Office 365 update or download the office for the first time at http://www.wiu.edu/office365. Once they get to the webpage shown below, they need to scroll down to the section that says “Get Office 365” and click the link included in that section.
You will be directed to a login page. There are instructions listed in that same section where the link is, but all you have to do is enter in your WIU email address into the email section and enter your Ecom Password in the Password section. Once you get those credentials entered in, you’ll be directed to the page included below where you can install Office 365 for either Mac or Windows. It just depends on what computer you have, but the same procedures will work for both. Students with questions on this should contact uTech at 309-298-2704 or visit their webpage at http://www.wiu.edu/university_technology/support/index.php.
