Western Illinois University’s Judy Yeast to Retire After 34 Years

A retirement reception for Judy Yeast, associate director of Campus Recreation at Western Illinois University, will be held from 2-4 p.m., with a program beginning at 3 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 17 in the Multicultural Center.

Yeast has been with Western since 1981, when she accepted the Director of Women’s Intramural’s position.  Some of Judy Yeast’s most recent accomplishments occurred in 2011 when she was honored for her service and contributions to the recreation sports field by the Illinois Intramural-Recreational Sports Association with the IIRSA Service Award.

She was also awarded in 2010 when she received the national Horace Moody Award, presented by the National Intramural-Recreational Sports Association (NIRSA), for her contributions to student development.
