Thinking Food for Finals!

foodWith the upcoming week of finals, WIU students need their “thinking food” to keep their minds and bodies in top shape. Throughout the week, there will be some concessions scattered across campus giving out food for free. Other opportunities for food will take place as well.

One of those opportunities will be held at the Newman Center. The Newman Center, located behind Horrabin Hall and the Wesley Methodist building, is hosting free meals for Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday. All students are welcome to come in and take as much as they want whether it’s to sit down or on the go. They will be offering food such as pancakes, sandwiches, vegetarian soups, hamburgers, and desserts.

“We don’t want students to have to try and survive finals week on mac and cheese and ramen noodles” said from an email sent by the Newman Center.

One other opportunity that will require either cash, or a meal plan, will be Sodexo’s “Breakfast at Night.” Just as the name says, all breakfast foods will be served from 9:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. Monday night in all Dining Halls across campus.

Students are asked to not starve themselves studying throughout the upcoming week and to take the opportunities to eat a full meal before their finals.
