City Of Macomb Could See Higher Property Taxes

Property-TaxProperty Values in and around Macomb has increased four million dollars from last year. Due to the increase, City Officials are deciding between increasing property tax or to increase the levy tax.

If the Aldermen decide to raise property taxes homeowners can expect increase by less than one percent which would be three dollars for residential property with a fair market value of $100,000

 

City Council will decide on December 21st to increase the levy tax or the property tax in Macomb.
