Local Macomb Resident Begins His 2016 Campaign

The 2016 elections comes closer to home as a local resident in Macomb kicks off his campaign.

AR-151209291John Curtis is running for the 93rd District State Representative seat. Curtis is a lecturer at Western Illinois University for English as a Second Language.

He made his first stop in Macomb, accompanied with State Senator John Sullivan and Illinois Democratic State Central Committeewoman Shirley McCombs, in a series of trips to make awareness of his campaign. He spoke to a crowd at the Sullivan Taylor Coffee Shop on the Square He  made trips to Galesburg, Beardstown, and Havana later in the day.

Curtis will face against Norine Hammond who currently holds the seat.
