It’s been nearly two months since a pipeline worker was reportedly killed by his roommate. So far – no body has been found. This week, macomb police are asking local hunters to aid in the search. 65–year–old Juan Bustamante disappeared from his home on East Murray Street in late February, along with his roommate Francisco Villa. Villa – later identified as Jose Bustobravo, was taken into custody by authorities in Colorado and told police he was involved in Bustamante’s death..Bravo later committed suicide while in police custody.
Police say bravo told authorities he wrapped bustamante’s body in a carpet and threw him on the side of a road or in a landfill. With the start of turkey hunting season, macomb detectives are now asking local hunters to keep an eye out for any suspicious objects. Detectives are focusing on the wooded areas of McDonough, Schuyler, and Fulton counties.
