Adult Entertainment Ordinance Update

The ordinance that will put restrictions on adult entertainment facilities in McDonough County is closer to becoming a law. The county board’s law and legal committee approved moving the edited ordinance to the next full board meeting in the weeks to come. State Attorney James Hoyle made two changes to the ordinance as requested by the board. One change requires security personnel on adult entertainment properties. The other makes the County Clerk’s office the place to take complaints about such facilities as opposed to the commissioner because that position doesn’t exist in the county.

The next meeting for the county board will be held May 5th.
