BREAKING: Man arrested in connection to 911 hoax

Montgomery, AlvinMacomb police Chief Curt Barker tells us WIU student Alvin Montgomery was arrested Thursday night at Bayliss Hall in connection with the incident.

Montgomery, 25, is now charged with a Class 4 Felony in connection to making a false 9-1-1 call. Montgomery is also facing a charge of obstruction of justice, which is a Class A Misdemeanor.

Montgomery’s listed address is 509 West Murray Street, where the incident took place two nights ago.

Montgomery is lodged in McDonough County Jail awaiting a bond hearing. We’re told he’s also charged on an outstanding warrant in Dekalb County, Illinois.
