Police: Man stabbed, several arrested outside local lounge

Hookah LoungeSeveral people are now facing charges after police responded to multiple fights along the intersection of North Lafayette and University Drive.

The first incident happened outside the Kobra Hookah Lounge.

A news release from the Macomb Police Department says officers arrived to find several people fighting in the parking lot. A man was stabbed during a fight there and taken to McDonough District Hospital. Officers then responded to a similar scene just down the street near the 200 block of University Drive.

Officers made several arrests following an investigation.

Robert D. Anderson faces two counts of aggravated battery and two counts of mob action.

Joshua Harris was arrested at the scene early Sunday morning on an unrelated warrant.

Jervon Lee faces a charge of obstructing a peace officer and Jorge Vargas faces drug charges.

Police say they’re continuing an investigation into these incidents.
